Nurse Call Systems are installed in hospitals, care homes, psychiatric and other premises. Their purpose is to enable patients to summon nursing staff.
The Government in the UK publishes Health Technical Memorandums (HTMs). It does so with the aim of providing recommended advice and guidance on the design, operation and installation of specialised building and engineering technology used in the delivery of healthcare.
‘HTM 08-03’ covers all hospital bedhead services. This includes the provision of nurse call systems as well as panic alarm systems. It was a long time ago that this guide was created to illustrate what good working practice looks like with regards to the management of nurse call systems – over a decade ago.
We recognise this and have worked hard to develop a set of forward looking contemporary features that not only meet the recommendations of HTM 0803 but goes further by even exceeding HTM 08-03 in many areas.
This is because our system simultaneously satisfies a European standard (VDE 0834) – a stringent standard that places the integrity of the system first.
Whilst satisfying HTM 08-03, our goal is to make it easy to connect our LON / IP-based systems together - such as asset tracking, paging, wireless panic systems and other systems in such a way as to drive efficiencies and system and integrity.
HTM 08-03 has a number of sections including:
To assure that our EZ CALL IP Nurse Call System is planned, installed, commissioned and maintained according HTM 08-03, rest assured that we also offer training for technicians and planners on a regular basis. Please contact us for more information.
